چکیده

The aim of this work is to evaluate the seedling growth and physiology status wheat seeds inoculated with a suspension eight plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) isolates. For purpose, strains were isolated from roots native plants growing in Algerian steppe, then evaluated for their promotion (PGP) features, finally applied on seeds. obtained results showed that majority tested displayed pertinent PGP features. In vitro experiments, salinity affected negatively seed germination impaired while inoculation BC3, BC6 BC7 induced good rate improved significantly root length. greenhouse experience, data demonstrated non-inoculated accumulated significant amount osmoregulators (proline glycine betaine), recorded decrease chlorophyll content, compared plants, where tolerance latter has been much better high as well low osmolyte contents. may be useful extension our knowledge interaction between PGPR, view possible applications biofertilizer improve salinity-impacted regions.

Effect of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) on the Seed Germination, Seedling Growth and Photosynthetic Pigments of Astragalus caragana under Drought Stress

Drought stress is one of the most important factors limiting plant growth all around the world. Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) can significantly reduce drought stress effects on plants growth. This study was aimed to investigate the influence of PGPR (inoculation by Azospirillum lipoferum, Azotobacter chroococcum, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Bacillus cereus) on seed germination, se...

Plant Growth-promoting Rhizobacteria Mitigate Deleterious Effects of Salt Stress on Strawberry Plants (Fragaria 3ananassa)

The effect of selected plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) on the growth, chlorophyll content, nutrient element content, and yield of strawberry plants under natural field salinity conditions stress was investigated. Field experiments were conducted using a randomized complete block design with five PGPRs (Bacillus subtilis EY2, Bacillus atrophaeus EY6, Bacillus spharicus GC subgroup B ...

Effect of seed priming with selenium nanoparticles and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria on improving Quinoa seedling growth under salinity stress

Soil and water salinity are the most important problems that limit crop production, especially in the arid and semi-arid regions. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of growth-promoting bacteria and selenium nanoparticle pretreatment on increasing the tolerance of the Chenopodium quinoa plant to salinity. A factorial experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with...

The effect of exogenous silicon on seed germination and seedling growth of wheat cultivars under salt stress conditions

ABSTRACT- Seed germination and early seedling growth are critical stages for plants establishment and production, particularly under salinity conditions. Exogenous application of silicon (Si) can enhance germination as well as seedling growth. In this experiment, the effect of priming with Si (0, 0.75, 1.5 and 2.25 mM sodium silicate) on seed germination and seedling growth under NaCl (0, 100 a...

The stimulatory effects of L-tryptophan and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) on soil health and physiology of wheat

During the present study, Pseudomonas moraviensis and Bacillus cereus, were isolated from rhizosphere soil of halophytic weed (cenchrus ciliaris L.) of Khewra salt range, and used as bioinoculants. The plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) were applied to wheat (Triticum aestivum) by seeds soaking, and aqueous solution of tryptophan was added to the rhizosphere soil at 1ug/L, after seed g...
